Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Dunloe Web Design is a web design business based in Kerry, Ireland. When we say "we", "us" or "our" in this policy, we mean Dunloe Web Design. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us through this website.

What information we collect

Enquiry form: when you ask us about a website, we collect your business name, contact name, email address, phone number, whether you already have a website, and any message you include.

Careers form: when you apply to work with us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your message and any CV you upload.

Website usage: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are visited, how long people stay, the type of device and browser used, and your approximate location. This information is collected using cookies and does not directly identify you.

Customers: if you become a customer, we also keep the information we need to build, host and support your website and to manage your plan and payments.

How we use your information

To reply to your enquiry and prepare your free draft website.

To provide, host, maintain and support your website if you become a customer.

To manage your monthly plan, including billing and cancellations.

To consider your application if you apply for a role with us.

To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing without your permission.

Our legal basis

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your information on the following grounds: to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you, or to carry out an agreement with you (enquiries and customer plans); our legitimate interests in running and improving our business (responding to messages and website analytics); and your consent, where we ask for it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as our email delivery provider (Resend), our website hosting provider and Google Analytics. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep your information for as long as you're on a plan, and afterwards for as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting records. Careers applications are kept for up to 12 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use analytics cookies from Google Analytics to measure how our site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; doing so will not stop the site from working.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, just get in touch with us.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie). We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
